Domokur Architects recently completed renovations on this mental health facility in Massillon, Ohio. Previously, the facility used a residential unit within the building as a de-centralized space for admissions and clinic space was segregated throughout the facility. This renovation of 2,500 SF of former office space created a secure, centralized Admissions and Clinic suite for the hospital, as well as a workstation, an observation room and two exam rooms.
In addition to interior renovation, the Owner expressed interest in constructing an alternate intake location within an existing courtyard. This was determined to be feasible through our facilities assessment. Connected to the Admissions suite, the 3,600 SF courtyard space provides the facility with a secure vehicular access point complete with a lift gate and a new porte cochere.
