Completed in early 2015, this project represents the second phase of an ambitious renovation to a 100,000 SF facility which had remained relatively unchanged since its construction completion around 1990, and could no longer meet the necessary functionality as a central component to the operations for this expanding company.
The design team worked closely with the Owner on material selections and helped identify several key areas to define the design and tie spaces together. Features include a glass-enclosed Training Room, a stone-tile stair wall with backpainted colored glass accents, a glass railing overlooking a large Cafeteria with a full service Kitchen and Servery. Custom cut hexagonal carpet and resilient floor tiles are one of the highlights of this bright and energetic space, which also offers several break-out spaces for staff collaboration and impromptu meetings, as well as conference rooms with modular furniture systems and operable partitions to meet the flexibility needs of a present-day office. The main Lobby, which serves as the connecting point for the two wings, was the final area completed and sets the tone for the overall experience with a contemporary security desk and soft seating waiting area.
