Domokur Architects provided full architectural design and construction services for a new Dining Hall at Camp Juniper Knoll for the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Camp Juniper Knoll, which opened in 1926, was in need of replacing a demolished structure previously occupying approximately 8,000 square feet in East Troy, Wisconsin. The Dining Hall is a single story, approximately 6,900 SF, free-standing structure designed to seat 200 campers and host a wide range of activities and presentations. The Dining Hall includes a full commercial kitchen, support facilities, a Trading Post, and accommodations to park 94 cars while striving to preserve the historic camp grounds. This project, created entirely in Autodesk Revit, completed construction in the Summer of 2016. Click this LINK for a 3D Panoramic look at the dining area.
